Nature’s Carpet to Exhibit at Greenbuild 2012
Nature’s Carpet, North America’s leading distributor of eco-friendly and sustainable wool carpets, will be sharing its story at the upcoming Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, November 14 to16th in San Francisco, CA.
Sponsored by the US Greenbuilding Council (USGBC), Greenbuild is the world's largest green building conference and represents all sectors of the green building movement. With over 30,000 attendees anticipated, this meeting will provide extensive educational programming, workshops, a vast exhibition floor and ample networking events to learn about the latest in green technological innovations, explore new products, and exchange ideas.
As a proud member of the USGBC and the Canadian Green Building Council (CAGBC), Nature’s Carpet supports the green building movement and takes a proactive approach to environmental issues. Balancing market needs for a stylish, durable, high-quality flooring choice, with increasing consumer demand for products that are sustainably sourced and biodegradable, Nature’s Carpet products are made from 100% wool, a rapidly renewable and sustainable resource. Products in the Dark Green line contain no dyes or chemical, which means these carpets, can be absorbed into the earth once their long flooring lives are completed. As such they differ from traditional carpets, which are made primarily from synthetic materials, have been treated with chemicals and ultimately do not biodegrade. Nature’s Carpet products are Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) compliant and certified by Green Label Plus for indoor air quality.
“Nature’s Carpet is very excited to be participating in our first Greenbuild Expo” said Nature’s Carpet President Chris Dragan, this event represents the leading-edge of the Green building movement and we look forward to showcasing our products and connecting with other key influencers in the community”

About Nature’s Carpet
Nature’s Carpet began its development in the late 1980’s, when chemical sensitivity to high-toxin flooring products was becoming a common issue and incidents of sick building syndrome were on the rise. The company felt the time had come to produce a cleaner and greener flooring product. Nature’s Carpet was created by sourcing renewable materials that would contribute to high indoor air quality and after extended use would biodegrade easily, mitigating lasting environmental impacts.
Nature’s Carpet now offers over 60 different products, ranging across its proprietary eco-measurement system, The Green Spectrum. From light green to medium green to dark green, Nature’s Carpet takes a transparent and pro-active approach to disclosing the environmental benefits of its products.
Nature’s Carpet products can be found across North America through retail flooring stores and green building centres.
